Public Hearings and City Governance

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors will hold its regularly scheduled full board meeting today, Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in Legislative Chamber, Room 244 at City Hall. Highlights from today’s agenda include a high-profile appeal hearing regarding the proposed developments at 524-526 Vallejo Street and 4-4A San Antonio Place. Additionally, pursuant to City Charter requirements, Mayor Daniel Lurie is scheduled for a Mayoral Appearance to engage in formal policy discussions with the Board, as is customary on the second Tuesday of each month.

The Board is also expected to receive committee reports regarding the settlement of various legal matters, including a proposed $55,000 ordinance for the settlement of a lawsuit involving the city and Kisha Henderson. Transit and Traffic Impact Advisories

The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) has issued several alerts for today due to special events and ongoing infrastructure projects:

  • Chase Center Event: The Golden State Warriors will host the Chicago Bulls at 7:00 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. To accommodate the influx of fans, the SFMTA will provide supplemental 78X Arena Express shuttle service from the 16th Street BART station starting two and a half hours before tip-off. Motorists should expect closures on 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard, as well as on Warriors Way.
  • Howard Street Construction: As part of the Transbay Howard Streetscape Project, expect intermittent lane closures and delays on Howard Street between The Embarcadero and 4th Street from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Hairball Infrastructure Work: Commuters are advised that nightly ramp closures near the US 101 and Cesar Chavez Street interchange will be in effect from 10:00 p.m. tonight until 5:00 a.m. tomorrow for pedestrian and traffic safety improvements.

Public Health Advisories

The San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH) maintains several active advisories for March 2026. Health officials continue to monitor an increase in severe mushroom poisonings across the Bay Area and urge residents to avoid consuming wild mushrooms. Additionally, a statewide alert remains active regarding an increase in measles cases; residents are encouraged to verify their vaccination status. The department also continues to provide clinical guidance following a recent tuberculosis (TB) advisory related to local school exposure to ensure community safety.

Park Maintenance and Improvements

The Recreation and Park Department reports that ground stabilization work remains ongoing at the India Basin Waterfront Park. Visitors to the area should follow posted signage regarding construction zones. Furthermore, updates are continuing for the Japantown Peace Plaza renovation and improvements at Alta Plaza Park as part of the 2026 capital improvement schedule.
