Oregon State turns perimeter accuracy into decisive road result

Oregon State delivered its sharpest long-range performance in more than two years on Thursday night, defeating San Francisco 90-63 at War Memorial Gymnasium. The Beavers made 12 of 20 three-point attempts (60%) and finished at 56.3% overall from the field, opening a gap that San Francisco could not close.

The game swung early. Oregon State led 50-28 at halftime after scoring 50 points in the opening 20 minutes, then maintained control through the second half as San Francisco’s offense struggled to generate efficient looks. The Dons shot 38.3% from the floor and went 5 of 25 from beyond the arc (20%).

Balanced scoring, heavy bench impact

Oregon State’s scoring was distributed across both starters and reserves, with four players reaching at least 16 points. Jorge Diaz Graham posted a career-high 18 points on 5-of-6 shooting, including a perfect 4-for-4 from three-point range. Isaiah Sy and Dez White scored 17 points apiece; White hit 4-of-8 from three. Josiah Lake II added 16 points, five rebounds and seven assists, helping Oregon State finish with 20 assists on 27 made field goals.

The Beavers also built separation through second-unit production. Oregon State’s bench outscored San Francisco’s reserves 31-2, giving the visitors a consistent scoring base even as rotations changed.

San Francisco’s late scoring lift comes after early deficit

San Francisco played more evenly after the break but began the second half facing a 22-point hole. The Dons scored 35 points in the second half after 28 in the first, yet the margin remained large as Oregon State continued to convert at the line (24-of-27) and avoided extended scoring droughts.

Ryan Beasley led San Francisco with 17 points. As a team, the Dons recorded seven assists, reflecting a night in which Oregon State’s defensive pressure and contesting of perimeter attempts limited ball movement and catch-and-shoot opportunities.

Standings context inside the West Coast Conference

The result moved Oregon State to 14-13 overall and 7-7 in West Coast Conference play, while San Francisco fell to 14-13 overall and 6-8 in league action. For Oregon State, the performance also marked its highest scoring output of the season and a significant jump in three-point efficiency on the road in conference play.
